The Tech Principle · strategy selection in three steps

Choose a strategy. See the comparison.

How this works

Choose a market, product, ranking rule and hour. The app selects one strategy, compares alternatives, then shows a historical switch-versus-hold replay. Data from is embedded in this file; only information available at the decision time is used to select.

What do “net”, “win rate” and “six closed positions” mean?

Net is the platform’s cumulative result in its own units, including open and closed positions. Win rate is the share of closed positions with a positive result. The selection rule requires at least six closed positions at the decision time. Similar rows below that minimum are context only—not eligible to select or switch to.

2 · Compare alternatives

How are the four comparisons defined?
Similar: same product, one setting differs. Opposite: five-minute equity changes correlate at -0.2 or lower. Overall: highest net on this product. Win rate: highest share of closed positions with a positive net. Each switch-eligible candidate must be a different strategy with a different net from the selected one. Identical results are clones. If no eligible candidate exists, the app says so; it never substitutes the selected strategy. Ties go to the lowest model id.

3 · Historical switch vs hold

At decision time
Used to select and compare; no later values influence the choice.
After the decision
Historical replay only; it shows what happened next.
Pick what to switch to. The chart then shows what happened next; nothing after the decision time was used to choose it. Always switch: at every following hour the selection and comparison are run again, using only data up to that hour, and you move to the best strategy of the chosen type only if its net is higher than the strategy you hold; otherwise you stay. Switching is assumed free.

Historical and analytical only. One day (), replayed from stored snapshots embedded in this file. It is not investment advice, a signal, a forecast or an execution workflow. Net is the five-minute snapshot's cumulative net return in the platform's units (closed plus open positions). Closed means closed positions.
