The Tech Principle · strategy selection in three steps

Select. Compare. Switch.

How this works

A scenario selects a strategy. It is compared with similar, opposite, overall and best win rate strategies. You switch only if a comparison strategy is performing better. Real data from , embedded in this file; every choice uses only what was known at the decision time.

Where this comes from

This explorer is a simplified, static version of the strategy directory's Scenario & Criteria Universal Engine, the full interactive tool that ranks strategies, replays a day and follows the leaders. The screen below is that tool: forex, GBPAUD_C, Friday 9 October 2026, replayed to 14:45. It is one example, not the data in this file.

The Scenario and Criteria Universal Engine: controls for return type, scenario, day and product, a replay bar at 14:45, and a day chart of three selected strategies' cumulative net return.
The full tool: choose a return type, a scenario, a day and a product, then replay the day and watch the selected strategies.

What is different here: one file, no server, a fixed data time, crypto and forex kept separate, and the result shown as a plain choose, compare and switch flow.

1 · Strategy selection

2 · Compare with other strategies

Best similar: same product, differs in exactly one setting (family, window, take-profit or stop-loss). Best opposite: its equity moves against the selected one (correlation of five-minute changes of -0.2 or lower). Best overall: highest net on this product. Best win rate: highest share of closed positions with a positive net. Candidates must be a different strategy with a different net from the selected one (identical results are clones and are never used). If no such strategy exists the card says so. Ties go to the lowest model id.

3 · Switch, only when better

Pick what to switch to. The chart then shows what happened next; nothing after the decision time was used to choose it. Always switch: at every following hour the selection and comparison are run again, using only data up to that hour, and you move to the best strategy of the chosen type only if its net is higher than the strategy you hold; otherwise you stay. Switching is assumed free.

Historical and analytical only. One day (), replayed from stored snapshots embedded in this file. It is not investment advice, a signal, a forecast or an execution workflow. Net is the five-minute snapshot's cumulative net return in the platform's units (closed plus open positions). Closed means closed positions.
